Food, music and auctions set for Raider athletics fundraiser
The event will feature Lee Haw Band and DJ Joey Davidson, adding live music and DJ entertainment to the night.
Appetizers will be catered by Childers Eatery, giving guests a food option early in the evening before the entertainment and auction portions of the fundraiser begin.
The booster club event will include both silent and live auctions, with prize baskets and Raider-themed items already featured in the event promotion.
Those auction pieces are expected to be one of the central parts of the night, especially for supporters looking to contribute directly to East Peoria athletics while also taking part in the event.
Quail Meadows Golf Course, located at 2215 Centennial Drive in Washington, will serve as the venue. The golf course setting gives the fundraiser a community event feel while keeping it close enough for East Peoria families, alumni, and supporters to attend.
The fundraiser gives the EPCHS Athletic Booster Club another way to rally support around school sports outside of game nights.
Booster clubs often play an important role in helping athletic programs with added needs, events, equipment, team support, and the kind of extras that can improve the student athlete experience across multiple sports.
For East Peoria, the May 9 event brings that support into one evening. Raider fans can buy tickets, attend with other supporters, take part in the auctions, and help push more resources toward the school’s athletic programs.
With doors opening at 6 p.m. and entertainment beginning an hour later, the spring fundraiser is set up as both a social night and a school sports support event.
For anyone connected to East Peoria athletics, it offers a clear way to show up for the Raiders before the school year closes.
