Arizona State will turn Friday, April 17 into a full spring fan event at Mountain America Stadium in Tempe, with the university set to host its 2026 Fan Fest from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event is free, open to the public, and built as a family-friendly evening around Sun Devil athletics rather than a standard practice-style stop on the calendar.

Arizona State is putting a football feel around the night by staging the event inside the Sun Devils’ home stadium, but the setup stretches beyond one team.

The school is planning a broader athletics celebration with access to student-athletes, coaches, and programs across multiple sports, giving fans a spring stadium event that mixes the atmosphere of football season with the wider reach of the athletic department.

The draw for families is pretty clear. Arizona State will feature the Kid’s Tillman Run Out, Family Fun Zones, autograph sessions, photo opportunities, clinics, and skills challenges, along with a fireworks show to close the night.

That lineup makes Fan Fest feel more like a campus sports festival than a simple promotional appearance, especially in mid-April when football energy usually sits in the background.

Arizona State is also attaching a giveaway angle to the event. The school is promoting prizes that include autographed merchandise and even roundtrip JSX tickets, which adds another reason for fans to show up beyond the activities on the concourse and the chance to meet Sun Devil athletes.

Free parking is also part of the setup, helping keep the night accessible for families coming in for a stadium event without the usual game-day costs.

What makes the event stand out is that Arizona State is not treating it like a narrow football-only date.

The university is using Mountain America Stadium as the setting, but the event itself is being built as a larger Sun Devil showcase. That gives Fan Fest a wider appeal than a normal spring football gathering.

Fans looking for a football atmosphere can still get that by being inside the stadium, while families looking for activities, photos, and a lighter entry point into Sun Devil sports will have plenty around them.

April usually does not bring many college sports events that feel this open to the public while still carrying a stadium-stage look.

Arizona State’s Fan Fest gives Tempe a spring night that blends football surroundings with family activities, athlete access, and a full-event feel.

For Sun Devil supporters, that is enough to make April 17 more than a date on the calendar.

It gives the school a reason to bring fans back into the building and turn a spring evening into something closer to a real game-week celebration
