Hempstead High School held its All Sports Banquet on a night that brought the Bobcat community together to celebrate a year of hard work, commitment, and school pride. Coaches, parents, families, community members, and supporters filled the room to recognize the student-athletes who represented Hempstead across the field, court, track, and classroom.

The evening also served as a reminder of how much goes into a successful athletic program beyond the scoreboard.

Coaches were recognized for the time, leadership, sacrifice, and steady commitment they give to their athletes throughout the year.

Their work continues to shape student-athletes into young people who show discipline, character, and determination in everything they do.

Families and parents were also a central part of the celebration.

From practices and games to long road trips and late nights, their support helped carry the programs through the season.

That kind of presence, both visible and behind the scenes, was a major part of the night’s message.

The Hempstead community was also thanked for continuing to show up for the school and for helping build a culture of pride and unity across Bobcat Nation.

The school wrote, “A special thank you goes to our coaches for the countless hours, leadership, sacrifice, and commitment they pour into our athletes each and every day. You are helping shape not only successful athletes, but strong young men and women of character, discipline, and determination.”

The banquet’s biggest honors went to the year’s top student-athletes. She’Quera Wolfe-George and Dylan Garfield were named the 2026 HHS Female and Male Athletes of the Year, recognizing their performance and impact over the course of the season.

Academic achievement was also front and center. Liliana Herrera and Hayden Payne earned recognition as the Top Academic Female and Male Athletes, highlighting the balance Hempstead continues to emphasize between classroom success and athletic excellence.

For Hempstead, the banquet was more than an awards night. It was a chance to look back on the season with pride and to celebrate the student-athletes who helped define it.

We are proud of everything you have achieved both on and off the field, court, track, and in the classroom.

The school’s message was clear throughout the evening. The work matters, the support matters, and the Bobcat standard continues to grow stronger.
