Kendrick Perkins’ wife, Vanity Alpough Perkins, gave a personal look at a packed week on the road with her husband, mixing work stops, family time, Broadway, AAU basketball and a backstage meeting with Megan Thee Stallion.
Vanity described the trip as a busy run through Oklahoma, Las Vegas, Boston, Connecticut, New York and Kansas, with Perkins moving through work commitments while their son Karter’s AAU schedule brought the family to Kansas.
The week also included a stop in New York for Moulin Rouge on Broadway, where Vanity met Megan Thee Stallion backstage.
“I could never be a celebrity it’s too much,” Vanity wrote, before adding that she still enjoyed the week because it gave her “well needed quality time” with her husband.
The caption carried the same playful tone Vanity often uses when sharing family moments.
She called the show “absolutely amazing” and described it as a must-see, then shifted back into mom mode with a simple line about returning to her kids.
Kendrick Perkins and Vanity Alpough Perkins have been married since July 25, 2009.
Their marriage began during Perkins’ NBA career, years before he became one of ESPN’s most recognizable basketball analysts.
Perkins played for the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans, and won the 2008 NBA championship with Boston.

Vanity Alpough Perkins Has Been With Kendrick Through NBA Life and Family Life
Vanity has been part of Perkins’ life through several stages, from his playing years to his move into television.
Perkins’ public image is now built around his strong basketball opinions, but his family life has remained a regular part of his story.
Their latest travel week showed that balance clearly. Perkins’ work took them across multiple cities, but Vanity’s caption made the personal side stand out more than the public schedule.
She joked about the pace of celebrity life, enjoyed the Broadway stop, spent time with her husband, and still ended the trip focused on the children.
The “quality time with my hubby” line was the heart of the post. It showed a simple part of their marriage that can get lost behind Perkins’ television role and the noise that follows NBA commentary.
Vanity also gave the post a family feel by mentioning Karter’s AAU schedule. The Perkins family has long stayed close to basketball, not just through Kendrick’s career, but through the children’s own activities and sports interests.
Kendrick and Vanity Perkins share four children. Their oldest son, Kendrick Perkins Jr., was born in 2007. Their second son, Kenxton, was born in 2011, and their twins, Karter and Zoey, were born in 2015.
Perkins has often shared proud family moments publicly, including birthday posts for his children and messages praising Vanity’s role in the family.
In one Mother’s Day message, he called Vanity the “heart and soul” of the Perkins family.
That family role came through again in Vanity’s latest caption. The trip included Broadway and backstage moments, but it was also shaped by parenting, youth basketball and the return to everyday family life once the travel slowed down.
